Joy Akinola is the founder and the visionary behind OnDemand Party Rentals. With her husband, Lanre Akinola, they both started the business in February 2022 with the goal to become one of the premier providers of party and event rental supplies and equipment in Houston. The entrepreneur couple are not new to growing a business venture. They both own a successful relocation business, OnDemand Logistics Services. Houston is the third most populous city in the US with the Greater Houston known to be the most ethnically diverse metropolitan area in the United States. In Joy's words, "this City is the perfect place for anything and everything for celebration of identity, culture and religion".
